[edit] File:Hong Kong Club 1890s.jpg

I accidentally misidentified the building as the Hong Kong Club Building when uploading. It should be Queen's Building. Can an admin move it to the right name, please? --Ohconfucius (talk) 03:27, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit] section about the community missing

Though this page is called "Commons:Community portal" is has actually no section and no information about the Commons' community, i.e. the users/contributors/editors. I realized this when I tried to find an appropriate place to add a link to Commons:Deceased contributors‎. --Túrelio (talk) 09:58, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Sergio Franchi category uploads

{{help me}} I am completely lost. First of all do I need a separate Wikimedia Commons page? I thought when I signed in to Wikipedia, I was signed in to all related groups. Secondly, I just uploaded about 6 or 7 pictures of Sergio Franchi which I wish to use in three articles I am creating on Wikipedia. All but one one seem to be accepted, and I don't know what I did different to make one unacceptable and the others OK. This is uncharted territory for me and I m really lost. Where can I find the image set up for deletion, and what have I done wrong in listing the license information? Any help at all will be appreciated. Might need someone to walk me through getting first pics up on my article pages.Cathlec (talk) 21:46, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Please remove the abuse filter for IP 84.137.* (if existing) or any other IP from my personal page and inform me why there exist an abuse filter within Wikipedia Commons

I just edited my site as IP and got an abuse message.
I did'nt ask for a filter and have not been informed that a filter for my site has been installed.

Site: User:Heinz-Josef Lücking

Thanks, --Heinz-Josef Lücking (talk) 19:34, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Besides of the fact that Commons (including your userpage on Commons) is not your site, yes, there are "abuse filters" to prevent spammers, known vandals and eventually also banned users from abusing this site. You may find more information at Commons:Abuse filter. --Túrelio (talk) 19:40, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
I know this not "your site" POV and your generall answer is saying noting to me. Could you please inform me, which filter blocked my edit? It was only an interwiki link i tried to make. Are IP edits generally not allowed on user pages alltought they are not personal?
I've found the filter. The filter does ecpecially not allow edits as an IP on any user page. Yours statement, that user pages are not "personal" (mine) must be wrong. ;-) --Heinz-Josef Lücking (talk) 20:32, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
