Danke, ich hatte heute auch schon einige gedreht. Wobei ich immer noch das Problem habe, dass manche Bilder im Log falsch rum in der Ansicht sind, dann will ich sie drehen, aber dann wäre sie lt. Vorschau falsch. Das verstehe ich noch nicht recht :( --Nicola (talk) 17:57, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Ja, sorry, wir haben irgendwie ein Serverproblem heute - das führt zu falschen Ansichten beim Drehwerkzeug. Hatte ich eben auch. Rillke hat das Drehwerkzeug jetzt geändert, um den Serverfehler zu umgehen. Viele Grüße --Saibo (Δ) 18:40, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Nicola!

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations"). Pro-tip: The CommonSense tool can help you find the best category for your image.

Hi Ceradon, a tip: do use automatic translation programs only in addition to posting the original text. ;-) It messed up the link and the German is not really good. If you want to provide a service for the reader just post English and the automatic translation (clearly stating that it is a automatic translation).

Wenn du dich nicht sträubst ... ;-) Ich denke nicht, dass du selbst Commons:Dateien verschieben nicht besser als andere Dateiverschieber beachten wirst und du kannst es für deine vielen Uploads brauchen. Bitteschön, gern doch. Wenn du hier vielleicht ein wenig beim Patrollieren helfen willst, sag Bescheid. Und frage natürlich gern, wenn du fragen zum Verschieben hast. Du hast auf jeder Dateiseite nun "Verschieben" und "Verschieben & Ersetzen". Zweitere Funktion trägt die Datei automatisch bei User_talk:CommonsDelinker/commands ein. Allerdings muss die Liste von Admins erst noch geprüft werden, eh der Bot die Dateien dann ersetzt sodass es bei z.B. nur einer Verwendung (sind ja ganz unten auf den Dateiseiten aufgeführt) schneller und zeitsparender ist, diese eine Verwendung schnell manuell zu ersetzen. ... wahrscheinlich für dich eh irrelevant, weil du wohl vorerst nur deine eigenen Fehler beheben wirst. Please provide reason to move file and make sure you have a valid reason to move

Hi!

I noticed you often move files without telling why. Please mention one of the valid reasons to move the file.

If the reason for example is wrong proper nouns you could write "Reason #5 Chales should be Charles" or whatever the reason is. --MGA73 (talk) 10:39, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Ok. I did not think of that. A lot of photos of cyclists from the Agence Meurisse are named "Tour de France", so I renamed the photos with the name of the rider, which seems to me more clear. --Nicola (talk) 10:44, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
